Katharina Llorens is a Communication and Public Diplomacy Officer at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Canada, where she leads communications and public-facing events to strengthen awareness and understanding of the Netherlands’ work and priorities in Canada. She is a bilingual communications professional with a passion for international affairs, public diplomacy, and creative storytelling.

Katharina holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Ottawa, where she graduated summa cum laude. Her interest in diplomacy and international affairs was sparked through her participation in Model United Nations and Model European Union conferences in New York City, Montreal, and Geneva. During her semester abroad at the University of Geneva, she studied international communication and participated in the Geneva International Model United Nations.

Beyond her professional work, Katharina serves as the Alumni Engagement Lead for Young Diplomats of Canada, where she leads engagement strategy with YDC’s 500+ professionals in diplomacy and international affairs.
