Born in Casablanca, Morocco, Hiba grew up with a deep curiosity about the world and the forces that shape it. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communication and Political Science from the University of Ottawa. She currently works as a Communications Officer at the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages, where she supports the Office's communications in both English and French.

Passionate about international relations, politics and communications, Hiba has built her career across the educational, non-profit and public sectors. Creative, driven and a fast learner, she loves finding clear and engaging ways to connect people with the issues that affect their lives. In 2024, she won a gold medal in the Scrum politique competition at the Jeux de la communication. She joined YDC's executive team as a Communications Advisor in 2026.

Outside of work, Hiba is passionate about music, music production, and vinyl collection, and is part of a music collective based in Casablanca. She also volunteered at Cinemania, Montreal's francophone film festival, in 2023 and 2025.
