Claudia is Canadian and Belgian, born and raised in Québec. She recently obtained her master’s degree in International Development and Humanitarian Aid Management from Université Laval, where she completed her undergraduate studies in International Studies and Modern Languages, specializing in international politics, German and Spanish. She further pursued short programs in Gender Studies and Diplomatic Affairs at Université Laval, as well as a program in Education for Global Citizenship and Solidarity with the Centre de formation pour le développement et la solidarité internationale (ITECO) in Liège, Belgium.

Passionate about social justice and international cooperation, Claudia has gained experience in different contexts. She worked as a Gender coordinator for a nonprofit organization in Senegal and served as Vice-President of Communications for the Association Étudiante en Développement International et Action Humanitaire (AÉDIAH). Her previous work has led her to work at the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration, the Association des Scouts du Canada and the Maison pour femmes immigrantes de Québec.

Curious and with a desire to connect with people and communities around the world, Claudia has explored destinations including Germany, Australia and Guadeloupe, among others, travelling with her family or embarking on solo backpacking adventures. These experiences have deepened her understanding of cultural diversity and fuelled her passion for languages. For Claudia, learning a new language is more than acquiring a new skill; it is a way to better understand communities and discover the world through new eyes.
