Annie Yang is a first year student at Carleton University in Ottawa, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management. 

In high school, she was actively involved in several student-led organizations, most notably leading marketing for two initiatives. The first focused on helping small businesses in the GTA with limited marketing resources, while the second aimed to bridge the gap between students and opportunities in the skilled trades. 

Annie hopes to continue building on this foundation by contributing her marketing and communications background to YDC’s mission of engaging youth in policymaking across Canada. She is particularly passionate about creating inclusive opportunities and amplifying the voices of young people in decision-making spaces.

Born and raised in Toronto, of Chinese descent, Annie is fluent in English and Cantonese. She looks forward to using her experiences to help foster dialogue, representation, and meaningful change.
