Ahdithya Visweswaran

Ahdithya is a dynamic public affairs and policy professional with a diverse background spanning the House of Commons, the federal public service, and the nonprofit sector. He currently serves as the National Director of Advocacy & Public Policy at Canadian Parents for French, where he works to advance official bilingualism and strengthen second-language education across Canada.

An alumnus of the esteemed Parliamentary Internship Programme, Ahdithya has also held roles at the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages, deepening his understanding of how public policy can drive social change. He has since applied this knowledge in service of various non-profit organizations and initiatives, including Young Diplomats of Canada, The King’s Trust Canada, and his podcast Les Francos oublié.e.s, among others.

His leadership has been recognized on numerous occasions. In 2023, he was honoured by Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado for his work on gender equality, and in March 2025, he was invited to speak at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. He is also a recipient of Alberta’s "30 Under 30" Award (2022) and the King Charles III Coronation Medal (2025). 

A proud Tamil-Canadian and Franco-Albertan, Ahdithya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Alberta’s Campus Sai
