Jamal Koulmiye-Boyce is a systems-focused leader, strategist, and social entrepreneur dedicated to advancing equity-driven initiatives that bridge communities, policy, and education. He is currently a Strategic Communications Fellow with Aga Khan Health Services Tanzania, supporting the implementation of the East African Comprehensive Women’s Cancer Project. Through this role, he connects communities, institutions, and funders through storytelling.
He is the founder of Color in Practice, a national social enterprise that partners with communities, government, educational institutions, and non-profits to deliver equity-focused, youth-centred initiatives. Color in Practice works with young people across identities and lived experiences, equipping them with the resources, relationships, and platforms to lead systems-level change through bold programs, partnerships, and community-rooted action.
Previously, he served as the Ontario Regional Coordinator at the Canadian Race Relations
Foundation, as a Regulatory Analyst at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, and as a 2022–23 National Pathy Fellow. He holds a B.Soc.Sc. in Conflict Studies and Human Rights (minor in Economics) from the University of Ottawa, where he served as Vice-President of Academic & University Affairs for the department, and a Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Program Evaluation from the Coady Institute.
In his spare time, Jamal enjoys poetry, bushcraft, running, and reading. He believes youth not only need a seat at the table, but a voice that shapes decisions, because a future built in partnership with youth is a sustainable one.
